Khaleesi interview from The Tonight Show

This Jimmy Falloon interview with Dany from The Tonight Show was pretty terrible and well below Emilia Clarkes stellar and award winning turn as Khaleesi but people might want to see it anyway so here it is. If you're trying to be funny this is a perfect template for failure as only Jimmy can provide. (04/29/2015)

Episode 3 Review is here: The High Sparrow

Finally found the time to finish this review working around major complications with a school project and my keyboard just happened to go out in the middle so there's that drama trying to find a new one in the middle of the night. The episode was long and hard with many scenes but none of them feature our heroine Dany so that's something of a let down but several scenes are building up to merge back into her storyline so at least the episode wasn't completely wasted focusing on boring events in Kings Landing, Winterfell, and The Wall. Thankfully there were no Dorne scenes this time or if there were they were so boring I forgot about them.

That smirking whore from Highgarden finally gets her way and the marriage to Tommen happens despite Cerseis unhappiness. Margaery immediately beds Tommen to the disgust of fans everywhere except teenage boys who now have a new hero to worship. Tommen worries he hurt Margaery or finished too quick and wants another turn but she fulfills her wifely duties by shutting him down and letting him know right away that she's in charge of the supply and just because he demands it doesn't mean anything to her.  Margaery immediately asserts more control over Tommen by strongly suggesting that Cersei retire gracefully to Casterly Rock.

Tommen, like the good little trained puppy dog he now is confronts Cersei and informs her she should head back to the Rock to make way for the new Queen Bitch. Cersei is shaken up already upset that her power is quickly slipping away but refuses Tommen. She then goes to visit Margaery and her sorority sisters who are engaged in important work gossiping and talking crap about everyone who isn't them. Cersei makes a veiled threat which Margaery apparently did not get and quickly backs off as Margaery shows her who's the boss now. Cersei looks completely defeated.

In Littlefingers brothel The High Septon is participating in a non-church approved religious sex ceremony where he pretends to have sex with one of the Faiths gods. The Sparrows bust in and capture the old pervert then drag him through the streets naked while beating him the whole way. He arrives at the Red Keep to complain to Cersei about his poor treatment.

Cersei takes matters into her own hands and seeks out The High Sparrow who is the supposed leader of the religious fanatics known as The Sparrows. Here she meets Jonathan Pryce as The High Sparrow who is running a soup kitchen for the less fortunate portion of the population which is practically everyone. She informs him that she has imprisoned the High Septon and supposedly they make some kind of deal which will put him in charge and she gains what she thinks will be a valuable ally in her war against the Tyrells.

More boredom ensues at The Wall as Stannis once again informs Jon Snow how he wants him to accept his offer to become Jon Stark Lord of Winterfell. Guess Stannis only supports keeping your vows and a little thing called the law when it's convenient for him. He knows very well that Jon Snow is now the Lord Commander of the Nightwatch and when you take the black it's for life. Just another reason why Westeros would be led to complete ruin by such a wishy washy leader as Stannis, proving once again that it's time for a real change and a strong independent woman like Khaleesi is the only one who can lead Westeros out of the darkness and into the light.

Jon promotes Alliser Thorne as First Ranger. Thorne seems pleased and this probably goes a long way to smooth over the hard feelings between the two. Sam once again makes a mockery of Janos Slynt which leads to Jon ordering Slynt to go to Eastwatch a place even more miserable than Castle Black. Slynt is enraged and refuses the command. Jon orders his men to grab Slynt and take him outside to teach him a lesson. Thorne makes a weak attempt to protect his friend but quickly backs down and steps aside. They drag Slynt outside kicking and screaming while he begs Jon not kill him promising he'll be a good little boy from now on. Jon looks like he's going to have mercy for a second, then cuts off the cowards head while Stannis gives him a nod. End of another boring Jon/Stannis scene.

In Braavos at the House of Black & White Arya wants to be a badass assassin but Jaqen makes her constantly sweep the floor instead. People who mysteriously look like Tyrion keep dropping dead at the House but they just act like it's normal and Arya doesn't ask any questions. There's another girl here now and she obviously looks down on Arya and Jaqen breaks up the girls bully attempt on her. Jaqen becomes enraged with Arya and her self-entitled attitude telling her to become a faceless man she has to get rid of everything from her past. Arya puts on a potato sack bundles up all the items she brought with her and prepares to dump them in the sea. She starts crying when she realizes she has to dump  Needle and at the last minute hides the sword in a pile of rocks. She's never going to become a badass assassin if she doesn't get with the program and follow the rules. I have a feeling hiding Needle is going to have some kind of serious consequence down the line but Arya is too blind to see it in typical Stark tradition.

In the North Brienne and Gendry make camp while Brienne stews over her failure with Arya and Sansa. Brienne recounts her younger days when she still had hopes and dreams of being normal. All the boys were mean to her except Renly who was only nice to her because he's gay and that's just what they do but it doesn't mean anything to them. Brienne insults Gendry saying he's too old to be a squire but then she offers to train him to use a sword finally. She tells him she can't make him a knight, but can teach him a few things. It's hard to tell if Gendry is happy or not because he's always got some goofy and confused look on his face. He may have just been scared thinking she was hitting on him about "teaching him a few things" but that's not confirmed and probably never will be as he'll be dead soon more than likely.

Littlefinger informs Sansa about his plan to marry her off to Ramsay Bolton which makes absolutely no sense but somehow she agrees to it "for revenge". I won't even go into how illogical this and what a huge diversion from the books as I assume David & Daniel have a plan which will eventually come together and make sense. We can only hope.

Sansa meets Ramsay and thinks he's charming. Theon hovers in the shadows acting all creepy, guess he doesn't want Sansa to see what he's become - how embarrassing for him! Sansa is an idiot and I don't even know how she managed to not get herself killed after all this time when she's probably one of the dumbest Starks which is saying something as stupidity is their pedigree..

Back across the Narrow Sea we find Tyrion and Varys still stuck on a boat and getting on each others nerves. Tyrion demands to find a whorehouse and apparently Varys is so ready to get away from the little creeper that he obliges. At the whorehouse a shadowy figures drinks and cries alone. Why is he crying? The favorite prostitute at the whorehouse just so happens to be a big Dany fan too and is wearing a more revealing version of her costume complete with fake blonde Khaleesi style Halloween wig. She's the most popular girl in the bar but won't give Jorah the time of day. I found this scene disgusting and was not pleased they would portray Dany as a whore in this way but I guess it's better than the book version in which Jorah paid to have sex with the prostitute while pretending it was the real Dany. So gross.

Tyrion makes small talk with an ugly prostitute telling her how much better she is than the Dany look-a-like. She's not and she knows it. When push comes to shove Tyrion refuses to have sex with her and stumbles out to the balcony to relieve himself. Jorah notices the dwarf, and immediately sobers up and springs into action taking him from behind. Jorah thinks the dwarf would make an excellent present for Khaleesi and would give him a way to get back in her good graces.

Overall the episode was not bad, but lacking Khaleesi how great could it have been expected to be? The episode also suffers from some pacing issues, there are simply too many scenes scattered throughout, and the episode dragged because of it, and the lack of action in general. I'm not sure how many of these slow episodes they need to build into the rest of the season, but it's a third of the way over at this point and time to get the ball rolling. Hopefully the next episode will be more Dany-centric and the plot with Jorah and Tyrion will lead directly to Meereen without further delay. 9.6/10

Slight delay on episode 3 review

Due to procrastinating I find myself at the last minute overloaded with work trying to complete a project for my economics class which is due tomorrow, so there will be a slight delay in completing my episode 3 review until that time. I'm aiming for getting it polished up and online by tonight, morning at the latest depending how much time I have to waste on this stupid project for school.

In the meantime check out this awesome video about Secret Targaryens I found recently.

A new beginning for Game of Thrones, the blog, and me.

Game of Thrones is back and so am I!

With Fire and Blood, I will take back what is mine by right.

It's been a hectic year with my return to school and busy social life, so I dropped the blog shortly after the end of last season to focus on my life and goals. But now the blog is back in all its glory and i'll be sharing my opinion of Game of Thrones brand new Season 5, and of course my love for the true focus of the show, Khaleesi Daenerys Targaryen, breaker of chains & wheels and such.

I've just gotten caught up  with the first 2 episodes, and i'll be posting my reviews of them at a later date, but I'm happy to see Dany is in the spotlight again, where she truly belongs, and will be the main focus of the series on to the end. I'm eager to find out the fate of Sir Friendzone aka Jorah the boring and how he brings the dwarf Tyrion into the fold in what can only be a joyful reunion with his beloved Khaleesi.

As many of you know I am a big fan of the character Khaleesi in Game of Thrones and A Song of Fire and Ice. While I enjoy the show in it's entirety, it's undeniable that Khaleesi is the best and strongest character on the show, and therefore the main focus. Thus it shall be the main focus of this blog too as we watch the rise of Daenerys Targaryen from humble beginnings to her rise as Khaleesi and Conqueror and Savior of Westeros.

I will be posting my review of the third episode tonight, and am very excited to see possible strong character development tonight after that amazing and touching scene between Khaleesi and Drogon last week. This scene truly brought a tear to my eye and if this is any indication of what David and Daniel have in store for us this season, this will be the best season for Khaleesi yet!

Feel free to email me at KhaleesiFan77@yandex.com or pm me with feedback on imdb but be warned I am firmly standing behind a no troll/bully policy and won't hear any personal criticism which will only lead to your reporting to the admins and law enforcement. Keep it positive kthx.
